You & Your Wedding Magazine
May - June 2019 Issue
I was over the moon when I found out that my first ever styled shoot was going to be published in the incredible You and Your Wedding Magazine, the UK's best selling bridal inspiration title.
The inspiration for the shoot came from our passion for the Ralph Lauren aesthetic, our vision was to create a luxurious shoot which reflected the timeless sophistication and history of our prestigious stately home venue, Cliveden, but with a modern edge, to appeal to contemporary couples.
Our story starts with our couple’s mutual love of quintessential England and the bond between Englishman and his horse.
Guests' first insight into the style of this wedding was when they laid eyes on the invitation with its bespoke classical hand drawn monogram of the couple’s initials intertwined, enclosed in a beautiful hand calligraphed envelope, fastened with a bespoke wax seal featuring a portrait of our groom’s horse, Tiger.
When styling the bride, we carefully incorporated two key 2019 accent trends throughout – as seen in her gown, her veil, her hairpiece and her shoes - 3D floral embroidery mixed with foliage applique and the use of metallics in the incredibly detailed silver beading; the gown was particularly versatile offering a number of complementary layers, allowing us to create looks which reflected the wider trends of high neck coverage and elegant long sleeves through to a luxuriously understated strapless gown with ballerina skirt. To complete the look, we took inspiration from Meghan Markle - who in fact spent the night preceding her wedding at Cliveden with her mother! – by using a light and natural make up palette complemented by an elegant low chignon.
Our stylish groom wore a tailored cupro lined 3-piece double breasted tuxedo with silk grosgrain detailing, occasionally revealing his contrasting brightly coloured socks, which added personality and fun.
Even our equine model, Tiger, wore a beautiful hand stitched bespoke browband finished in silver.
For the wedding breakfast, we wanted to complement the grandeur of the Rococo styled French Dining and the incredible view over the grounds, so our installations complemented both the gold and sage décor and the expanse of manicured lawns with a palette of pinks, mauves and pale green – as seen in our floral, placement and cake designs.
