Exclusive Hire Luxury Wedding Venues in London

As a luxury London wedding planner who specialises in weddings in palaces, country estates and stately homes, I am often asked for recommendations for exclusive, luxury wedding venues in London.

Read on to discover which private palaces and stately homes in London that I recommend to my couples who are looking for that heavenly combination of grandeur, exclusivity and intimacy.

No.1 | Two Temple Place

If you are looking for an exclusive, historic wedding venue in London, my top recommendation has to be Two Temple Place, on Embankment, where I have had the pleasure of working many times. This uniquely elegant English stately home in central London was formerly the London office of Lord Astor but is now available for exclusive hire for a limited number of weddings at certain times of the year. The upper and lower galleries are the main spaces, linked by a sweeping staircase and surrounded throughout by colourful stained glass windows and ornate marble fireplaces.

There is even a courtyard garden at the front overlooking the Thames which can be enjoyed in the summer months. I am delighted to be the preferred wedding planner at this wonderful venue so would be delighted to make arrangements for a hire fee quotation and site visit for you.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Susannah in a work capacity for approximately 10 years and I never hesitate to personally recommend her to our future wedding clients. Her experience of planning and managing events is extensive and I feel she has a strong understanding of what us as a venue, her clients and also suppliers require. With her calm, warm demeanour Susannah takes the stress out of the planning process for all parties and is a real joy to work with.

No.2 | Spencer House

Next on my shortlist of exclusive luxury wedding venues in London is Spencer House - one of the most splendid private palaces ever built in London and is today the city’s only surviving great eighteenth-century house. Built for John Spencer in 1756, it became one of the pioneer examples of neo-classical architecture. Beautifully restored to its original splendour, the house continues to host only the finest luxury celebrations.

No. 3 | Kensington Palace

My final recommendation for an exclusive luxury wedding venue in London has to be Kensington Palace. Home to British royalty, Kensington Palace is the most spectacular and lavish setting for your luxury wedding. Still the official home of Prince William and his family, the Palace hosts a limited number of weddings each year and offers a range of formal event spaces including the prestigious state rooms such as The Kings Gallery, The Queens Gallery and The Cupola Room or alternatively the elegant historic Orangery, overlooking the main palace (currently closed for refurbishment).
